YWAM Myanmar was founded in 1999 with the pioneering of a short school based on the teaching of the Discipleship Training School (DTS). Soon after this pilot run, the full DTS was offered and YWAM Myanmar began to grow and to put down roots in the nation.

Today YWAM Myanmar has several operating locations with many school and ministries, all focusing on discipling the nation and developing and mentoring local leaders. The 55 staff members hail from 9 different nations, with the majority of the staff being local.

The mission of YWAM Myanmar is to know God and to disciple all domains of society in Myanmar.

By 2020 we will have pioneered ministries in all 16 Omega Zones of Myanmar, through discipling and releasing of young people.

The ministries in YWAM Myanmar include:

•     Discipleship Training School (DTS)

•     School of Biblical Studies (SBS)
