YWAM Singapore values all missions personnel sent to and through us to serve the nations. We are committed to working with sending churches and networking with specialists and other missionary care-givers to support and develop these missions personnel. Our Member Care Team provides consistent and sustained sender care, enabling missionaries to thrive on the field – enjoying intimacy with Christ, relating effectively with those within their sphere of influence and reflecting God’s character and ways as revealed in His word. We serve our missions personnel joyfully by:

• Visiting them on the field and encouraging them in spiritual, relational and physical well-being
• Regular and prompt email responses, telephone communication and facilitating supply of resources
• Weekly priority in prayer and intercession for our missionaries
• Raising awareness of the importance of member care and encouraging greater participation in the Body of Christ
• Networking and building resources relevant to member care
• Remembering that care comes in practical ways such as birthday greeting cards to missionaries and home visitations to their parents back here
• Offering ongoing training, bible study and retreats to help missionaries clarify their calling, roles and goals.

We believe that doing member care well is integral to doing missons well. Missionaries who are well cared for grow in maturity in Christ, serve longer term on the field, relate well in unity with other field workers, and become an encouragement for many more to step out into missions.
