Accepted DTS student (Singaporean or foreigner) is required to live-in during the period of study unless exception approved by DTS school leader.
For your budget planning:
All costs (SGD) incurred for DTS are in these 3 categories as follows:
1. Tuition / School fee
i) DTS Registration (*non-refundable): $120/- (one person) or $180/- (couple). *Please refer to point 3 on page 1/20 of DTS Application form.
ii) Lecture & Outreach: $7000/- (one person)
2. Living Expenses [not inclusive in (1ii)]
i) Food (approximately, per person): $3/- per meal,
ii)Transport: Move around easy by Mass Rapid Transport (MRT) or buses with EZ-link card, refer to http://www.sbstransit.com.sg/
iii) Hospitalization & Surgical insurance coverage (mandatory for every foreign student unless he / she has a personal and similar one): $100/-
iv) Groceries & Recreation: according to your needs
v) Immunization cost & visa application (outreach preparation) & personal expenses (during outreach)
3. Student's Pass (STP) application to Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
Every foreign applicant accepted to any course (except iDTS, SBS Night Class, MCC & Seminars) offered by YWAM Singapore, is required to apply for Student's Pass (STP) at least 6 weeks before DTS commencement, under Private Education Organization (PEO) according to statutory requirement of Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA).
YWAM Singapore will assist you in your STP application.
i) Entry Visa (optional): foreigner student's responsibility to find out & apply if needful;
ii) Social Visa extension (optional): $30/-;
iii) STP Processing fee (*refundable): S$30/-. *Please refer to point 3 on page 1/20 of DTS Application form.
iv) STP Issuance fee: $60/- or $90/-;
v) Security Deposit (SD, not applicable to Malaysian or Bruneian): $1,000/- or $1,500/- or $5,000/- (refundable upon completion of course & no breaching of conditions stated on STP security bond form.)
vi) Bank charge (incurred to process security deposit, non-refundable): $5/- or $20/-. Please refer to point 4 on page 1/20 of DTS Application form.
vii) Medical checkup (regulation of ICA when STP is approved): $40/-
- above (i), (iii) & (iv) are dependent on applicant's nationality, refer to www.ica.gov.sg.
- amount of SD refunded will be slightly less than initial amount due to current exchange rate.
- you will only receive the refund in 6~8 weeks' time upon surrendering of STP. Any handling fee & bank charge incurred for SD refunding will solely be borne by the foreign student.
