As we sought God's heart for the September school, we hear Him calling us to "Be Still and Know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations."
When we make the radical decision to ‘be still’ in our franticly fast lifestyle, it more than often prepares our hearts & minds to see clearer the greatness of who He is, His gracious Fatherly love for us and his Lordship over our entire lives and the nations.
DTS is a ‘honeymoon’ with the Lord. Through the 3 months lecture journey, God will take us deeper into knowing and challenging us to align ourselves to His unquenchable love and passion. It is a place where we integrate knowledge in our heads to revelation in our hearts. It seeks to challenge us to adopt basic truths about God into a practical lifestyle. DTS is a transformational process as the students allow God to work deeply in them to discover who they are in the Lord and His unique call upon their lives.
DTS is also an adventure. The 2 months outreach will be a journey of experiencing God's heart for the nations, tribes, the marginalized and the lost in the urban. It is taking a walk with our Heavenly Father into the nations and learning to love the nations the way He loves them & us.

What is Discipleship Training School (DTS)? Discipleship Training School (DTS) is an intensive Christian training course beginning with a 12 week lecture/teaching phase followed by an 8 week practical field assignment. DTS is designed to encourage students in personal character development, to help them cultivate a living relationship with God and Identify their unique individual gifts and calling in God.
Cross-cultural missions in Asia. Cross-cultural exposure and global awareness are specific emphases throughout the course, preparing students to reach current and future generations and answer the call to "go into all the world and make disciples of all nations" (Mark 16:15 and Matthew 28:19)
DTS is the starting point in YWAM. It addresses the character of the heart. Character formation is foundational to serving Christ, be at home or cross-culturally. If you are eager to know God and have your character shaped by Him and if you want to proclaim Jesus Christ among the nations, then this course may be the first step of an exciting journey for you.
How will DTS help you?
Intimacy With God. It will help you cultivate a living relationship with God. Discipleship Training School (DTS) is the character formation training school of YWAM Singapore. Are you seeking spiritual renewal? Or do you want a second career in missions? DTS is the entry point to becoming a "YWAMer". You will better understand the character and ways of God. You will learn to hear God's voice. Staff will lead you into a richer devotional life.
Develop Your Character. DTS will develop your character as a foundation for effective service. You will apply principles of repentance, forgiveness, and resisting temptation. You will grow in commitment, servanthood and stewardship. You will learn to build healthy relationships with others.
Making God Known. DTS will help you make God known to others. You will understand the lostness of man, how culture effects evangelism, and the changing face of missions today. You will practice spiritual warfare and sharing your faith. You will GO into all the world.
What is taught in the DTS lecture phase? The DTS lecture phase is Monday through Friday, full-time. Lecturers come from around the world to teach and minister into your life. Some of the topics include:

What is the DTS outreach? Following the twelve week DTS lecture phase, you will be sent on an 8 week outreach. Only so much can be learned in a classroom; often the most important lessons are learned during the outreach. You will experience cross-cultural evangelism and practice the truths taught in the classroom. Outreach destinations focus on the 10/40 Window.
You Need To Know
Prerequisites. Reasonable English proficiency; at least 18 years of age; a recommendation from your local church.
Application submission. YWAM Singapore needs at least six weeks to process your application for a student visa with Singapore Immigration. Please apply early.
Schedule. The first 3 months of lecture phase is a full time from Monday to Friday. And 2 months of outreach phase.
Credit. DTS is a credited program with the YWAM's University of the Nations. Successful completion earns credit with the University and may go on to do other courses.
